The Roman Seminar is pleased to invite you to a round-table discussion about “Aspects of the Cult of Isis in Roman Greece”, which will take place on March 29, 2023 at 5pm, at the Swedish Institute at Athens (Mitseon 9).
The event is organized in collaboration with the Athens Greek Religion Seminar and will include three talks.
Dafni Maikidou-Poutrino will discuss “Aspects of the Isiac cults: Religious connectivity in Roman Greece”, Barbette Spaeth will present the topic “’Behold, moved by your prayers I am here’: The Isis cult in Roman Corinth”, while Silvana Blazevska will speak about “Isis and Sarapis at Stobi: Egyptian deities in the northern part of Roman Macedonia”. Eleni Fassa will join the event as a discussant.
